Coup plot trial: Kpando chiefs call on gods to intercede for Dr Mac-Palm (Video)

Fia Adjei III, a  sub-divisional chief of  Kpando Municipality of the volta region pleaded to the government to grant Fred Yaw Mac-Palm prerogative of mercy.

This call was made in a short ceremony to pour libation to call upon the gods and ancestors to intervene in their judicial proceedings involving the medical doctor.

The court has Dr Fred Yaw Mac- Palm as one of their key suspects involved in an alleged coup plot.

“The president has no power to intervene in the court, what he can do is to offer prerogative of mercy. This is the power I know the president has. When someone is put in jail he has the power to intervene,” he said.
