Watch how robbers escaped amid gunshots after daylight bank heist on Spintex Road

Two robbers on a motorbike succeeded in bolting with an undisclosed sum of money meant to be deposited at a savings and loans company on the Spintex Road in Accra on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

The incident, according to videos posted on social media, happened at the Pan African Savings and Loans branch, located adjacent to FBN Bank on the Spintex Road.

The robbers are said to have trailed someone carrying a bag full of cash to the bank.

They hovered around a pharmacy opposite the bank and pounced when they spotted their victim.

In the said video gunshots could be heard ringing, but what was initially believed to be an exchange of fire with police, turned out to be warning shots by the robbers, an eyewitness said.

Despite one of the robbers falling off the bike as they made away with the money, he was lucky enough to get back onto the bike as they fled the scene.
