Commercial sex workers take over Kwadaso M/A Basic School

Commercial sex workers operating around Kwadaso Municipality in the Ashanti Region have taken over the premises of the Kwadaso M/A Basic School using classrooms in the facility for their unscrupulous business.

According to the teachers, the activities of Commercial sex workers are due to the absence of security and proper lighting systems at the school premises.

According to them, the security man hired to watch over the school has reported to them on several occasions the activities of these commercial sex workers in their classrooms

The Headmistress of the School Mrs. Cecelia Ofori Amanfo in an interview with OTEC News Kwame Agyenim Boateng on Tuesday February 8,2022 said even the teachers have witnessed these prostitutes having sex in the school, a situation she termed as worrying.

“Both our teachers and the security man  have catch poeple in the course of having sexual intercourse  on different occasions and the only thing we can do is to chase them out of the school”

She added that some youth men in the area have also turned parts of the school into a “wee” smoking hub causing huge problems for the school.

The wee smokers she added also defecate in the school making teaching and learning in the facility very difficult for them.

She blamed the problem on the authorities inability to fence the school and  appealed to benevolent organizations and cooperate entities to as a matter of urgency help the school.
