Civilians Take Over Firefighting Efforts as Fierce Blaze Engulfs Kasoa’s Lucky TV Studios

A fierce fire outbreak at Lucky TV Studios in Kasoa on Monday, June 16, saw local civilians actively stepping in to douse the raging inferno, with residents at times appearing to take over firefighting efforts from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
A video from the scene, widely shared by EDHUB on X on June 16, 2025, depicted residents operating fire tenders and aggressively battling the blaze, while fire personnel, seemingly overwhelmed by the scale of the situation, looked on helplessly.
The fire completely gutted a multi-storey building that houses both the Lucky TV studio and the Lucky Herbal Clinic, prompting desperate attempts by the community to help contain the destructive flames.
The cause of the fire remains unknown. As of the time of filing this report from Boksburg, Gauteng, South Africa, no injuries had been reported, although the full extent of the damage is yet to be assessed.
