Christian Atsu helps ex-convict who came out of prison to meet his wife having an affair with another man

Black Stars winger, Christian Atsu has gone to the rescue of the ex-convict who was released from prison two weeks ago only to reach home and find his wife in bed with another man.

Amo Mensah who had been slapped with a 3-year jail term by an Accra Court for stealing and selling a vehicle belonging to his Chinese superior, was only released a fortnight ago but met the shock of his life.

According to him, while in incarceration, he gave his life to Christ and reformed from his old ways and was happily heading home to reunite with the family only to be greeted with a sight he described as the most shocking experience of a lifetime.

He was compelled by circumstances to spend the night on the streets because the woman could not wait for his return and therefore entered another relationship leading to marriage and was now living with another man.

But through the Crime Check Foundation, the Newcastle Winger has gone to the rescue of the ex-convict in order to enable him make a living through the sale of belts

Executive Director of the Foundation Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng shared the story of Amo Mensah on his Facebook page “Most ex-convicts re-offend and go back to Prison because of stigma and lack of job opportunities. That’s why Crime Check Foundation in collaboration with Christian Atsu has come up with the CCF Reintegration Project which seeks to support ex-convicts with means of livelihood. Amo Mensah is one of the beneficiaries. After coming out of Prison two weeks ago to hear his wife is married to another man, he had to spend the night on the street. Through our new initiative, he has been given five sacks of belts to sell for a living. That is our contribution to reducing crime among ex-convicts in Ghana. The devil, they say finds work for idle hands”
