After winning the beauty pageant as Taraba State’s representative, she will represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe contest in Mexico.
Chidimma Adetshina opened up about her terrible experiences, including her difficult choice to resign from the Miss South Africa contest owing to citizenship difficulties, in an honest interview with BBC News Pidgin.
She admitted that talking about it evokes intense feelings because she cried while having the conversation.
Despite having lived in South Africa for 23 years, Chidimma voiced her anguish and despair at feeling excluded by people there just because of her name.
She emphasized her strength and resilience while also acknowledging the difficulties she had encountered.
