Check out NPP gurus on Jakpa’s next list of raids

The Host of Good Evening Ghana, Paul Adom-Otchere, has revealed what he says is a list of some of the targets of the Director of Special Operations at the National Security Secretariat, Richard Jakpa, for his next line if raids.

These names are prominent people in the former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration, the broadcaster alleged.

According to him, the list came after the Special Aide to the President, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, asked when Jakpa would arrest some persons who played critical roles in the erstwhile NPP government.

“Joyce Bawah was asking Richard Jakpa that when are you going to arrest Paul Adom-Otchere and his plenty talk? As for Paul, we will get him but we have to go to Addison, then Okatakyie before we go to him,” he claims

Speaking on his programme on March 20, 2025, Adom-Otchere alleged that Jakpa has plans of raiding the former Minister of Transport, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah; the former Minister of Communications and Digitalisation, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful; NPP stalwart, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko; and former Attorney General, Godfred Dame.

Also on the list, Adom-Otchere mentioned his own name as part of the people supposedly on the list by Richard Jakpa.

“They went to Ameyaw’s house at 4am, harassed Gifty Oware-Mensah, and released her but we don’t know what has happened. Now, they arrest people and do not file a writ in court but we are waiting. The Attorney General said he will be filing on NPP members who have stolen money, and we are still waiting in March,” he stated.

Adom-Otchere also stated that the NDC-led government is panicking as they do not know ways to face the issues and they have to hurriedly arrest people to divert the attention on national issues.

Earlier, the immediate-past Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Ernest Addison’s home was raided by some National Security operatives, led by Richard Jakpa, Director of Special Operations at the National Security Secretariat.

Reports said the raid on the residence of the former Bank of Ghana Governor was done with 20 armed men on March 19, 2025.

The reports added that Dr Addison was at home when the heavily armed men, some wearing balaclavas and wielding AK-47 semi-automatic rifles, arrived to conduct a search.

It also indicated that the team repeatedly disabled all CCTV cameras in the house.

They then demanded that Dr Addison leads them to the ‘vaults’ in his house, adding that the former governor, in shock, calmly told them that he had no vaults or any such cache of cash at home.

Following that, the Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, visited the former BoG governor at his residence.
