The Super Eagles striker notched a staggering 26 goals in 32 Serie A appearances to win the Capocannoniere award.

The 24-year-old also supplied 5 assists to propel Luciano Spalletti’s side to their first Scudetto title in 33 years.

The Nigerian international surpassed George Weah’s record of 46 Serie A goals to become the African player with the most goals in the Italian topflight since its inception.

He also beat Samuel Eto’s record to become the African player to score most goals in a single Serie A season.

The ex-Lille striker finished the season with 31 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions for the Naples-based team.

Osimhen’s remarkable performance earned him the best striker in Serie A at the end of the recently concluded league season.
