‘Charley mabre’ – Chad goalkeeper hilariously ‘cries out’ in Twi after defeat against Ghana

The loss marked Les Sao’s heaviest defeat in a competitive match since 2015 and the Black Stars’ biggest win since 2020, when they beat Qatar 5-1.

Although Mbaynaissem conceded five goals on the night, he was arguably Chad’s best player in the game, pulling off multiple saves to prevent an even more humiliating scoreline.

While addressing a journalist, Mbaynaissem hilariously complained about the toughness of the game, expressing his exhaustion.

“The game was tough; I am tired,” he said in Twi.

Mbaynaissem was one of only two foreign players that coach Gardia Tahir Zakaria called up to represent the nation, as he opted for locally based players.

Up next for Chad is a game against Comoros, where they hope to earn their first point of the qualifiers.

For the Black Stars, the win sent them to the top of the standings with 12 points, two ahead of Madagascar, whom they face on Monday, March 24, 2025.
