Change your mentality before being included in national team – Laryea Kingston tells KP Boateng

Former Ghana international Laryea Kingston says Kevin Prince Boateng needs to change his mentality about the country to earn a call up to the national team.

According to Laryea, Boateng picks and chooses games to play for the Black Stars prior to his suspension from the national team.

“He should change his mentality before being included in the team, he is a Ghanaian and if he is performing well and playing regularly in his team and the coach believes he can fit into his system, that fine,” Laryea told Asempa FM.

“He needs to be talked to that you don’t select games you prefer to feature in.”

“Kevin is a fantastic player if he puts his mind on the national team that he is going to help us by not using the country, trust me he is a player that will help us.”

Boateng has been given an indefinite suspension from the national team following his role in the Brazil 2014 debacle.

However, there have been calls for him to be included in the Black Stars team for the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt 2019.
