The Catholic Archdiocese of Accra, in collaboration with the Conference of Major Superiors of Religious-Ghana (CSNR-GH), has announced plans to hold an environmental prayer walk against Galamsey.
The event is set for Friday, October 11, 2024, and will start at the cathedral and end at Christ the King Parish.
A statement issued by the organisers indicated that the initiative reflects their civil, communal, and religious commitments to the country and its ecosystem, which is being destroyed.
The participants, according to the organisers, will engage in a peace prayer walk, praying the rosary, which they regard as their weapon against adversaries.
The organisers added that they would present a petition to the Presidency at the Jubilee House.
