More photos: Rain disrupts national May Day parade

This year’s national May Day parade held at the Independence Square in Accra was not without hitches.

Almost 20 minutes of rains, accompanied by strong winds, nearly marred the parade as many were seen running to take cover when the rains started early morning.

However, some of the workers, who were protesting, defied the rains to make their point clear.

Other workers also took to dancing while the speakers – President Nana Akufo-Addo and the leadership of organised labour- prepare to address the workers.

The celebration under the theme ‘Sustainable Pension For All,’ however, continued after the rains subsided.
