Odikro in police custody for allegedly defiling 15-yr-old girl

The Odikro of Abonko near Mankessim in the Central region, Nana Takyi VI, aka Eric Abban is in the custody of the Saltpond District Police for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old girl.

Information gathered by Adom News indicated that on Thursday, April 4, 2019, the girl was on her way from school when Nana Takyi allegedly called her and sent her on an errand.

On her return, the suspect allegedly kept the girl in his room and allegedly defiled her.

The girl is said to be a virgin so she sustained a broken hymen and other bruises in her private parts.

She reported the incident to her school authorities because her parents live in Accra.

The school authorities reported the matter to the Saltpond Police and they immediately arrested Nana Takyi.

Police confirmed the arrest of the Odikro to Adom News, saying he is still in custody and will be put before court on Monday, April 8, 2019 on defilement charges.

Meanwhile, the girl’s parents have taken her to the Police Hospital in Accra for examination and treatment.
