C/R: Policeman TRAPPED in his room and burnt to DEATH

Constable Stephen Nomah a.k.a Nana Kojo aged 33 formerly of Police Guard Duties Unit(GDU) of the Ghana Police Service in Accra was on Thursday trapped in his room and burnt to death after his house caught fire at Kormantse Kurabadzi.

Two other occupants identified as Kwamina Tawiah a.k.a Shatta aged 18 and Nana Tawiah aged 17 were also burnt beyond recognition while Ebiya Takyi aged 34, Kojo Arthur aged 20 and Kojo Arhin aged 19 who sustained severe burn injuries were rushed to Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for treatment.

According to the police who confirmed the unfortunate incident to MyNewsGh.com, they received a complaint that a house located at Kormantse Kurabadzi was burnt when some individual fishermen were filling premix fuel into gallons.

 

Police proceeded to the scene and found three (3) charred male bodies in the burnt rooms and two (2) other males who also got serious burnt.

 

The charred bodies have since been deposited at Saltpond Government Hospital for preservation.
