C/R: Man, 45 lynched over land dispute at Awutu Mampong

A 45 Year old man,  Kofi Kyekyebi has been murdered at Awutu Mampong over alleged land ltigations in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.

The body was found on a path Sunday June, 5 2022 morning when residents were going to Church.

The assailants removed the body from the land where he was killed and deposited it in another community ostensibly to portray that the deceased died through road accident but blood was found at the crime scene to where he was deposited.

According to information, the deceased who is a key witness to an ongoing land litigation was murdered by people belonging to the opposing faction.

The body has been there for two days and has started decomposing emitting odour.

The deceased had reportedly gone on the land to stop some people who were on their way to plant Pineapple on the farm due to court injunction placed on the land.

The deceased failed to return home and when residents proceeded to the land they found blood on the land but the body of the deceased was no where to found.

Family members of the deceased have called on the police to arrest the perpetrators to face the law.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Police Hospital Mortuary, while Kasoa Police conduct investigation into the case.
