Angry Zongo youth in Accra have stormed the church premises of Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah over his prophesy that Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu will die this year, MyNewsGh.com has learnt.

The cutlass-wielding youth numbering about 15 were seen breaking the church billboards at the entrance shouting insults at Owusu Bempah in the Hausa language. They vowed to teach him a lesson for “touching their Imam”, brandishing cutlasses as they thronged into the church.

According to them, they will only be appeased when Rev Owusu Bempah goes to apologize to the Chief Imam.

The Leader and Founder of the Glorious Word Ministry incurred the wrath of the public, especially Muslim youth, when he prophesied that the Chief Imam, and current Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia are going to die this year, 2019.

Speaking to his congregation during the 31st watch night service at his church covered by MyNewsGh.com, the popular man of God stated that if Ghanaians and Muslims don’t pray, The Chief Imam will die. He also said that former President John Mahama will be killed by some of his NDC members.

Their action has been greeted with condemnation by some Muslims on social media.

“What is the Ghana Police doing about this Vandalism? These guys should be arrested.” a Muslim journalist Bilkis N.K wrote.

Head of sports at Atinka Media, Saddick Adams Obama also condemned the action of the youth.

The Office of the Chief Imam is yet to officially comment on the entire issue.
