JUST IN: Asamoah Gyan reveals he is once again available after Nana Addo request

Ghana International Asamoah Gyan has officially revealed that he is once again available for selection into the Black Stars after a request by President Nana Akufo-Addo.

On Monday, Gyan shockingly announced his decision to recuse himself from Ghana’s AFCON squad and also permanently retire from the National team mainly because of a decision to take the captaincy of the team from him.

However, the President in a telephone conversation on Tuesday impressed on him to reconsider his decision and make himself available to the coach for selection.

Gyan in a release on Wednesday said he could not say no to the Presidential request and thus has returned to the team.

Gyan is now expected to be named in Ghana’s AFCON squad which will begin camping on June 1.
