Controversial crossdresser Bobrisky has on Friday, April 5, 2024, pleaded guilty to a four-count indictment of money laundering and abuse of the naira levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Federal High Court, Lagos.

After a conversation between the parties, two of the six counts against the controversial crossdresser were dropped from the original arraignment.

The EFCC said on Thursday, April 4, 2024, that it has commenced an investigation of Bobrisky for allegedly spraying Naira notes at an event.

The commission’s spokesperson Mr Dele Oyewole verified the news in a statement made public on Thursday.

Oyewole claims that Bobrisky was invited by the commission after a video emerged of him spraying and showing off wads of brand-new naira notes at the Ajakaju movie launch on March 24.

He said: “Investigation also revealed that he had committed similar offences at some other event centres and parties at different times.

“Following the invitation by the Commission, he arrived at the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC in the morning of Wednesday, April 4 for interrogation and volunteered his statements.

“He will soon be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations,” Oyewole said.
