Binduri Constituency, Over 7,217 Names got Missing in the Recently Compiled Voter’s Register
The electoral commission is yet to make it known to the people of Binduri district in the upper East region Region after residence became angery with electoral officers in the various polling stations over their missing names.
The following polling stations recorded the figures below respectively during the compilation of the voter’s register in July 2020 by the Mrs Jean Mensa led EC.
Tempelim deeper life church had 428 registered voter’s,
Naarag Saago primary school had 444 registered voter’s,
ASANORE had 307 registered voter’s,
KUMPALGOOGA had 392 registered voter’s,
POLSIIGA had 380 registered voter’s.
The EC officials returned to these polling stations for the exhibition exercise with zero (0) registered voter’s while 1, 957 registered voter’s names got missing in these polling stations.
Other polling stations in the constituency that has been recorded single digits are.
The Noryeni primary school recorded had 361 Registered voter’s but the EC officials returned with only six (6)names while 355 electorates names got missing.
Bawk – Sapeiliga primary school had 359 registered voter’s but the EC officials returned to the polling station with only 4 registered voter’s while 355 names got missing.
TEMASUG polling station had 333 registered voter’s but the EC officials returned with only 9 registered voter’s while 324 names missing in the register.
GOTISALIGA primary school had 458 registered voter’s but the EC officials returned to the polling station with only 1 registered voter while 457 names got missing.
YAPALA polling station had 442 registered voter’s but the EC officials returned to the station with 3 registered voter’s while 439 names got missing.
Atuba primary school polling station had 355 registered voter’s but the EC officials returned with 2 registered voter’s while 353 names got missing.
BOKO market Square had 394 registered voter’s but the EC officials returned with 4 registered voter’s while 390 names got missing.
These polling station with several others has had electorates names missing which has brought tension in the constituency as various youth leaders in the constituency had arm themselves against electoral officers.
They youth had send a strong warning to the electoral commission and the Ghana police service that, they won’t allowed any process to take place, if the electoral commission officers return without the missing names in the affected polling stations.
