Bawumia calls for peace and unity in his Easter massage at Gomoa Buduburam

In a stirring address during the Easter Festivities on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Gomoa Buduburam, the Vice President of Ghana and Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Alhaji Mahmoud Bawumia, delivered a powerful message of unity and reconciliation. Accompanied by esteemed members of his entourage, including Hon. Hawa Koomson, Joseph Cudjoe, Hon. Asamoah Boateng, Hon. Kojo Asemanyi, Hon. Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, Hon Sammy Awuku and Hon. Opare Ansah.
Others were a representation from the Regional Executive Committee, MCE for Awutu Senya East, the DCE for Gomoa East, the NPP Constituency Chairman  (Gomoa East) Constituency Executive Committee and hardworking party faithful. The Vice President, Dr. Alhaji Bawumia emphasized the imperative for Ghanaians to rise above partisan interests for the collective good of the nation.
In his address, Dr. Bawumia highlighted the divine mandate shared by all Ghanaians to pursue peace and reconciliation, irrespective of political or religious affiliations. He underscored the significance of Easter as a time for reflection, spiritual renewal, and fostering a culture of dialogue, understanding, and compromise. “Truly leadership involves fostering dialogue, understanding, and compromise, even in the face of disagreement,” he remarked.
The Vice President urged citizens to celebrate Easter responsibly, ensuring that festivities do not lead to harm or conflict. He emphasized the need for Ghanaians to rejoice in unity and solidarity, making the occasion incident-free and conducive to spiritual growth. Dr. Bawumia invoked the spirit of Easter as a symbol of hope, renewal, and redemption, drawing parallels to the teachings of Jesus Christ on compassion, justice, and love.
Reflecting on the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the belief shared by Muslims and Christians alike in the power of faith and redemption. He called upon Ghanaians to draw strength from these teachings and commit themselves to building a brighter, more prosperous future for generations to come.
Similarly, Vice President Bawumia extended his blessings to the nation, invoking God’s guidance in Ghana’s journey towards peace, prosperity, and unity. He expressed gratitude to the attendees and urged all Ghanaians to embody the spirit of Easter in their daily lives.
The Vice President’s address had a deep impact on the audience, setting a tone of optimism and unity as the nation celebrates Easter. With his call for peace and reconciliation, Dr. Bawumia reaffirmed his commitment to fostering a cohesive and prosperous Ghana for all its citizens.
Party folks present led by Chairman Richmond Otoo and his Constituency executives had the opportunity to showcase their unwavering support for the Presidential and Parliamentary candidates respectively.
