Davido’s bouncer speaks after he was allegedly slapped by singer at his wedding

Afrobeats singer Davido’s bodyguard, Segun Ogunjobi better known as Segxy, has finally responded to the widely shared footage that purportedly showed the singer slapping him during his wedding.

The bodyguard denied the allegations, claiming Davido had just instructed him to allow a small youngster to pass.

Segxy explained that the youngster had unexpectedly entered the scene and was attempting to prevent the boy from approaching the performer.

He also claimed to have been faithful to Davido, to know the singer well, and to have never suffered physical harm at his hands.

He refuted the reports, stating: “As regards d fake video flying on d internet. Y’all commenting shit u don’t know. My boss didn’t slap me and has never slapped any of his staff before. He’s only cautioning me 2 allow d boy. D boy in question appeared from nowhere, and I tried to stop him. Besides, my boss is my blood and family; I understand him so well without a word from his mouth. 30BG for life. HML boss”

A shocking scene during Davido’s wedding celebration was captured in a video that went viral on Wednesday, July 3, and provoked a contentious internet discussion. In the video, the musician seemed to hit a man who happened to be his security guard.

Davido and Chioma Rowland’s opulent traditional wedding on June 25, had already created a lot of attention.

A subsequent video, however, has changed the course of the discourse by displaying Davido’s irrational explosion of rage and physical aggressiveness towards the man.

In the video, Chioma is seen standing behind Davido as he yells at the man while attempting to shield a small boy from the scene.
