Team Eternity member Nhyira reportedly dead

A report reaching GhanaWeb has confirmed that Nhyira Marfo Okyere, one of the lead singers and founders of the hit Ghanaian gospel group Team Eternity, has passed away.

In an interview with GhanaWeb on Wednesday, blogger Zhikay Ikejunior, who broke the news on his Facebook handle, confirmed the passing.

According to Zhikay, who is close to the team, Nhyira reportedly passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. The cause of death remains unknown.

Despite the confirmation, there has been no official announcement from the family or Team Eternity.

The deceased’s last public appearance was at an event on Sunday, August 2, 2024, which now stands as her final ministration.

The gospel community awaits further details and an official statement from the team or the family.
