Audio: Sack me if power is not stable in 10 days – Ghana gas engineer

LISTEN TO THE AUDIO BELOW

Head of Engineering at Ghana Gas has put his job on the line if electricity supply is not stable in the country.

Mr Maxwell Kally is confident that in 10 days, his outfit would complete the new installation done at Ghana Gas which will supply constant power to the Volta River Authority, KARPOWER and Amandi energy plants.

His comment follows recent erratic power supply across the country. Civil society groups and the opposition National Democratic Congress are breathing down the neck of the government over the seeming return of power outages known in local parlance as ‘dumsor’.

They are, thus, calling for a timetable to ensure no one is caught off guard.

But, Mr Kally in an interview on Adom News assured there was no cause for alarm.

He stressed that, about 90% of work was complete and assured Ghanaians of total flow of gas to generate power in a few days.

He urged Ghanaians to exercise restraint because the transformation is going to help in the long term plan.
