Former Ghanaian youth star, Nii Odartey Lamptey is in a buoyant mood after the Court of Appeal dismissed an appeal filed by his ex-wife regarding the ownership of a property at East Legon.

Odartey’s ex-wife, Gloria Appiah had appealed to the court to grant her ownership of the ex-Ghanaian international’s seven-bedroom house as compensation after their much-publicized split in 2013.

However, the court dismissed her case as all three judges who sat on it said she did not deserve the property, thereby ordering her to move out as soon as possible.

In an interview with Kasapa FM after his latest ‘triumph’, Lamptey said he was excited after what he described as a difficult journey.

He also prayed that no fellow man should go through the challenges he had faced over the years. He added that he was waiting eagerly for Gloria to move out of the house.

Background

The relationship between Odartey Lamptey and Gloria Lamptey hit the rocks in 2013 after DNA results revealed that he was not the biological father of his three children after 20 years of marriage.

Lamptey insisted that he never asked his estranged wife to sleep with other men to get pregnant for him after allegations that he was impotent.

He now has two children with his partner, actress Ruweida Yakubu.

Lamptey owns the Golden Lions Soccer Academy and Glow Lamp International School.
