Audio: NDC behaving childishly over Manasseh’s exposé – Enam Hadzide

Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide has described the Minority in Parliament calling for the immediate resignation of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over the Osu Castle Militia exposé as childish.

He believes the NDC’s posture on the issue is just a way of diverting attention from their “evils deeds” adding that they have no business criticizing the government over the matter.

“The conduct of the NDC is nothing to write home about. In fact, I have nothing to say about this issue because I don’t see why members of the opposition are so concerned about it. They are only behaving childishly and only wants to divert attention from their wicked plans” he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosi Sen Friday.

The Minority in Parliament is demanding the immediate resignation of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over the Osu Castle Militia exposé arguing that he has lost every moral right to lead the country.

Addressing the media following the exposé by Journalist Manesseh Awuni, the deputy minority leader, James Klutse Avedzi, charged the Inspector General of Police to arrest all the young men caught in the documentary.

The documentary revealed the existence of a pro-New Patriotic Party (NPP) militia that trains in a top government security facility. The pro-governing NPP militia, De-Eye Group, trains and is headquartered at Osu Castle in Accra, a security zone.

Until 2013, the Osu Castle was the seat of government. Currently, it is an Annex to the Seat of Government, the Jubilee House.

But Pius Enam Hadzide wants Ghanaians to disregard the minority as they are only engaged in hypocritical politics.

He believes the Minority’s stance is just an attempt to drag the name of the President into their mess.

He said there is no cause for alarm because government is focused on delivering on its promises and won’t be swayed by their opponents.

Pius Hadzide also the Osu Castle is no more a security zone as purported by the public since it’s no more the seat of government.
