Audio: Lady bathed with acid solicits GH¢ 1,000 to undergo surgery

Father of Kate Aidoo, the 23-year-old mobile money vendor, who was bathed with acid by two men who robbed her on Monday, has disclosed his daughter needs GH¢1,000.00 to undergo surgery.

According to the father, Okyeame Kwame Ankom, their inability to pay the GHc1, 000 has delayed the surgery that needs to be carried out urgently.

In an interview with Adom News, the father of the victim stated that the doctors need the amount before they can proceed with the plastic surgery.

“My daughter’s condition has stabilised a bit but I can’t sit and watch my daughter suffer. Her face has completely disfigured now,” he stated.

“Our family is now soliciting for the money for the surgery to be done but we are appealing to everyone to come to our aid,” he added.

Kate suffered an acid bath at Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region after two men, who entered her shop to withdraw money, poured acid on her and bolted with an unspecified amount of money.
