Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo, has walked out of a parliamentary probe into the collapse of 7 local banks.
His walk-out was over the failure of the committee to furnish members with all the records of the transaction before the hearing began.
Governor of Bank of Ghana Dr Ernest Addison and other central bank officials are currently before the committee answering questions.
Isaac Adongo who is a member on the Finance Committee said the executive summaries provided by the BoG aren’t enough for a thorough investigation.
He’s accusing the committee of attempts to rubber stamp the Central Bank decision.
“I just walked. Listen, this is a rubber stamp process, they will deliver no value and I am not willing to be part of it,” Mr Adongo told the media immediately he stepped out of the meeting room on Wednesday.
