Asafo Fire : Ofosu Ampofo must be blame – Sam Pyne

The Ashanti Regional Secretary of New  Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Sam Pyne, has asked Ghanaians particularly traders at Asafo Market in Kumasi to blame Mr Ofosu Ampofo, National Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for masterminding the recent fire outbreak at the area.

According to him, the behaviour exhibited by Mr Ofosu Ampofo, explicitly indicates his capabilities to engineer such action to tarnish the image of the government.

Mr Sam Pyne spelt these out on Angel FM’s morning show in Kumasi under the host of Kwame Tanko.

” The content of the leaked tape of Mr Ofosu Ampofo reveals his devilish intentions therefore could be blamed for masterminding the incident at the Asofo Market” Mr Sam Pyne said.

According to him, NDC as a political party is noted for such criminalities just to paint an unfortunate picture for the NPP government.

On education, Mr Sam Pyne, described Former President John Dramani Mahama as a hypocrite following his assertions on the Free Senior High School Policy (FSHS).

He described it as  unfortunate the claim by the Former President that government should allow ‘rich’ parents in the country to pay their wards’ fees.

According to Mr Sam Pyne, children of affluent persons in the  developed countries like the United Kingdom and Germany still enjoy free education.

“The father of Former President Mahama, was very rich and had the capacity to pay the fees yet Mahama enjoyed free education under Kwame Nkrumah’s regime” Mr Sam Pyne said.

The Regional NPP Secretary asked Ghanaians to turn deaf ears to the criticisms by the Former President since the policy serves as a financial relief to parents.
