Arsenal fans clash with Brazilian star as he mocks them with popular meme of Ghanaian boy

Following Manchester City’s confirmation as the 2023/2024 Premier League champions, Brazilian forward Richarlison took to social media to tease Arsenal, who finished as runners-up.

Before the Premier League’s final matchday, Arsenal supporters were optimistic about a potential Manchester City stumble against West Ham, which could have handed Arsenal their first title in two decades.

Arsenal needed Manchester City to lose or draw against West Ham, while they had to secure a win against Everton to clinch the title.

However, Arsenal’s hopes were dashed as Manchester City secured a 3-1 victory over West Ham at the Etihad Stadium.

England’s Phil Foden netted twice, and Rodri scored the third goal. Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus scored a remarkable volley for West Ham’s lone goal.

Arsenal managed a narrow 2-1 win over Everton at the Emirates Stadium, thanks to a late goal from Kai Havertz.

This win brought Arsenal to a total of 89 points, their highest tally since the 2003/2004 season when they accumulated 90 points.

Richarlison, who is known for his playful jabs at Arsenal and plays for their fierce rivals Tottenham, posted a video featuring Albert Ofosu Nketia’s crying-laughing reaction to mock Arsenal’s second-place finish.

The post sparked anger among Arsenal fans, who responded in the comments section, with many labelling Richarlison as ‘mediocre’.
