Arise Ghana: The man who was injured in the eye complains of blindness in one eye

On the days of the Arise Ghana demonstration, a lot of people have already been hospitalised in various hospitals including police officers who received a lot of stone grows.

News coming in indicates that the man who was Injured in the eye during the Arise Ghana demonstration has complained that he can’t see with his right eye. This complaint became known to the public when Sammy Gyamfi and some members of the Arise Ghana team visited the injured protestors at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital on Thursday.

Nii Ayi Mensah is the name of the man who is currently receiving treatment in the eye. This whole issues started on the first day of the demonstration on Tuesday. There was a clash between the police and some protestors. Some of the protestors were seen throwing stones at the Ghana Police.

The police in their defence also fired tear gas and other crowd controlling weapons into the protestors.
The issue of police brutality seems to be on the rise in the country. It is however unclear as to the cause of Nii Ayi Mensah’s eye injury. Could it be that he had this injury as a result of the protest or it was as a result of a police brutality.

The second day of the demonstration was a success as no incident of violence was recorded. The police even issued a statement to commend the demonstrators for having a successful demonstration in the second day.
