Are you gay? – Delay quizzes Charlie Dior

Popular Ghanaian fashion critic, Charlie Dior, has addressed public criticisms regarding his feminine fashion style.

During an episode of The Delay Show on TV3, aired on September 14, 2024, host Deloris Frimpong Manso questioned him about allegations that he is gay due to his cross-dressing, which has faced criticisms.

In response, Charlie Dior explained that he is unbothered by others’ opinions about his personality, as they do not impact his professional life.

However, he did not provide a direct answer to the question about his sexuality.

Here is how the conversation unfolded:

Delay: People say a lot of things about you, they call you all kinds of names and tags. So, I want to ask, do you see yourself as a gay, cross-dresser, or low-budget Saucy Santana?

Charlie Dior: I like Saucy Santana because I went to a restaurant and they gave me special treatment thinking I was him, I accept it all. Whatever critique you throw at me, I use it to create something more innovative.

Delay: So, in summary, where exactly do you stand?

Charlie Dior: I am a very confident, loving, and passionate person. However people describe me is their choice. I don’t have to respond to that; I only become what I respond to.

Charlie Dior is known for critiquing celebrities’ outfits at major events and suggesting improvements.

His fondness for cross-dressing has led many to speculate about his sexuality, a topic he chooses not to address directly.
