Afia Schwarzenegger has backed Serwaa Amihere over her recent apology to Ghanaians over her leaked adult tape.

While experiencing a challenging time on social media after her adult tape was leaked online, Serwaa Amihere offered an unqualified apology to all who were affected by the situation.

It’s been about three weeks since the incident occurred but it wasn’t until April 24, 2024, that she formally addressed the matter in a press release.

After what seems as a thorough self-retrospection, Serwaa Amihere spoke from a place of honesty and utmost sincerity.

Meanwhile, Afia Schwarzenegger, who has been dissecting the Serwaa Amihere leaked tape saga, has acknowledged her apology.

Stating that issuing an apology was the right step, she said her decision would be incomplete without doing away with ‘the pimp who caused her woes’.

“Apology accepted but we don’t need the pimp around her. She needs her sanity. I am sure she has seen and understands whatever is going on. If your godmother can link your boyfriend up with another person for a fridge, then nobody should advise you to leave her,” she stated during TikTok Live.

Afia Schwarzenegger also chastised netizens who have rejected the apology on the premise that it took a lot of time to be publicized.

“Did we want her to apologize sincerely or just want her to write anything? The good thing is that Serwaa has learned from her mistakes, her apology is so sincere. It is not easy to endure having your nudes circulated and I doubt if that girl is psychologically okay,” Afia stated.

She, however, condemned the trend of women victimizing their own anytime they are abused by men.

“Everyday we want men to win. Since this issue happened, It is the women who have condemned Serwaa the most. Everyday women are being abused, and it’s always other women supporting this. We always support the abusers and chastise the victims. This time around we are supporting the women, we won’t let the men win,” Afia added.

The comedienne also called on Ghanaians to rally behind Serwaa and offer her solace in these turbulent times.

“Let’s rally behind her, let’s show her support. She needs our love now more than ever. We want to see her back on TV,” she stated.
