APC Communication Officer issues 2 weeks ultimatum to NPP’s Abronye DC

Francis Ansah Tawiah, National Communications Officer of All People’s
Congress (APC), has issued two weeks ultimatum to the Bono Regional
Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a matter of
urgency end insults, vilification and personal attacks on opposition
NDC presidential candidate, former President John Dramani Mahama.

“The freedom of speech enshrined in the 1992 Constitution does not
guarantee that right only for him to be insulting persons his
generation cannot march even in the next world.

High cost of living, lack of infrastructural projects, lack of PPEs for our front line
health personnel in the fight against COVID-19;  massive corruption scandals under this Akufo Addo led NPP government have made the
ordinary Ghanaian worse off. These are some of the key issues we
expect a regional chairman of a ruling government to talk about and
helps find solutions to. As we speak Ghanaians are crying for change.

So Abroye DC’s unwarranted attacks on former president John Mahama and
other revered men in Ghana hoping to please his pay masters is very
unnecessary. I have given him two weeks to do the needful or I take
him head on.”, he said.

It could be recalled that former president John Mahama through his
lawyer, Tony Lithur, has reported Abronye DC’s attacks on his
personality to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for
appropriate actions to be taken.
