Andre Ayew scores twice in All Stars 2-1 win over Northern XI

Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew, grabbed a brace for the All-Star XI in their 2-1 triumph over Northern XI in the 2024 All-Star Festival in Tamale on Saturday night, June 22, 2024.

The match which took place at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, featured players like Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Mubarak Wakaso, Afena Gyan, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and other big-name players.

Andre Ayew scored the first goal from a corner kick which was crossed into the box by his brother Jordan Ayew.

The Northern Stars managed to pull back and restore parity in the game.

Andre Ayew later scored his second in the game with a rebound when Jordan Ayew’s free-kick was intercepted.

The 2024 All-Star Festival is the third edition organized by The BAC Group, headed by Dr. Ernest Koranteng.

The third edition of the All-Star Festival organized by The BAC Group was the first time being hosted in the Northern Region.

The festival also brought together residents to renovate the Abedi Ayew Pele Roundabout in Tamale and featured a series of sports business talks at the University for Development Studies, plus a Legends Night.
