ANAS EXPOSE: Eddie Doku to sue

Eddie Doku, a former Chairman of the Black Stars B Management Committee, has denied claims of his involvement in corruption as captured in investigative journalist Anas Aremyaw Anas’ latest undercover work, and hinted at a legal action.

The documentary captured him accepting a hefty wad of cash in a white envelope from unknown men.

The Greater Accra Chairman of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), is one of many people caught on camera accepting bribe. In his case, he allegedly took bribe to influence the selection of, and playtime for Black Stars B player, Patrick Razak.

Although out of the country at the moment, Mr Doku, in a short statement, said: “It is not true what the caption says that I am being bribed to influence the selection of Patrick Razak into the Black Stars B”.

He said he “was not taking a bribe as the video seeks to portray” and that he has referred the matter to his lawyers.

Good Morning all. I normally do not encourage anything like this on this platform. But please allow me this once.

I am with the Black Stars in Iceland and received a video clip of myself in the Anas series receiving money in the open in front of the RFA office.

Please, it is not true what the caption says, that I am being bribed to influence the selection of Patrick Razak into the Black Stars B.

I am simply telling you, who serves as chairman, the truth is that I was not taking a bribe as the video seeks to portray. My lawyers are taking the matter up. I shall be back on Saturday, God willing. At least I owe you this.
