America has true democracy, compared to Nigeria – Davido

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed his reason for appreciating the United States of America.

He stated that, compared to Nigeria, America’s democratic process is real and effective.

Davido made this known during an interview on The Morning Hustle show, where he shared his reason for participating in the recent US presidential election.

The ‘Stand Strong’ singer holds dual citizenship as a US and Nigerian citizen.

He disclosed that during the US election, he voted for Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party.

The 32-year-old Afrobeats artiste declared that his choice to support Kamala was driven by a desire to witness the United States elect its first female president.

He further commended the electoral process, describing the US system as a true reflection of the people’s will.

He said, “What I like about America is that there is true democracy. Where I come from [Nigeria], it’s not so. The truth is, people voted for him. I voted for Kamala. People voted, so whatever happens, happens.”
