Akufo-Addo’s fake bodyguards arrested in Cape Coast

Police in the Central Regional Capital of Cape Coast have arrested two persons for posing as security details of the President who is attending the Speech and Prize Giving Day of Adisadel College (ADISCO).

MyNewsGh.com gathered the two were arrested on the directive of one Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr Asare when they failed to provide prove they were part of the security details of the President who is the guest of honour of the occasion.

It would be recalled that same time last year, Twenty-three (23) year-old Sissey Ibrahim who was arrested in full military wear claiming to be among the security detail of Vice President Mahamudu who at the time was visiting Kumasi.

According to the then Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Ken Yeboah was charged for five counts including impersonation, stealing and deceit of public officer.

ASP Benjamin Adu stationed with the VVIP Unit and Chief Inspector Bediako Darkwah of same unit who effected the arrest reported that on 11th March, 2018 at about 11:30 am, the suspect who claims to be a student of the University of Ghana, Legon, was spotted in the company of the security details of the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana.
