Akufo Addo to Address The Nation Today

The communications director at the presidency Eugene Arhin has revealed when the President of the Republic Of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo Will be addressing the Nation.

This comes after several fake fliers were being circulated on the internet pertaining to the president’s address of the nation.

Ghanaians have longed to hear from the president after he last addressed the country and touched on some critical measures to curtail the spread of the novel virus.

The President is expected to decide on whether the lockdown shall be extended or suspended. He is also expected to speak on measures being taken on the side of the government to help the vulnerable if the lockdown is extended.

Ghana has recorded 193 new coronavirus cases with one related death raising the country’s total number of confirmed cases and deaths to 834 and 9 respectively.

The Ghana Health Service has displayed on its official website.

16 more people have recovered according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS). This brings the total number of recovered patients to 99.

Contact tracing teams and lab technicians were tasked to trace some initial about 10,000 at-risk-persons but have already tested some 50,000.

Total samples tested so far stands at 60, 916 with 1.37 % testing positive. The results of these backlog of samples when released does not mean the number of new cases recorded on the day of the report. Regions that have reported cases are Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern, Northern, Volta, Upper East, Upper West, Central, Western and North East.
