Akufo-Addo grateful to Ejisu MP for selfless commitment to “year of roads”

The Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party last year themed this 2020 year as a “year of roads”. Despite the year being overridden by the corona virus pandemic, the NPP seems relentless in their commitment to this enviable program. The last two months has seen some commendable commitments in various towns across Ghana having their roads under intense construction.

A source at the Presidency on condition of anonymity explained however that, the manifestation of this crucial program amidst a year caught up with uncertainties and difficulties, in the honest view of the President is credited to NPP government’s competences. Of worthy to mention is the “instrumental role” played by the Minister of Roads and highways Honorable Amoako Atta and his deputy the “accomplished” Engineer Honorable Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, MP for Ejisu in this positive agenda, the source noted.

Apparently, Members of Parliament who double double Ministers are caught up with an inevitable challenge of having to balance office work with their respective constituency, and the same is true for honorable Aduomi. However, constituents of the former chairman of Roads and Transport committee in parliament noted admirably the good rapport Mr Aduomi has with the base. A group, identified as Ejisuman Youth noted dispassionately the commitment of Mr Aduomi to infrastructural, social, health and economic growth of the Ejisu constituency.

As such, the seat of government is reported in some news to have indulged in delegates of NPP to retain the Ejisu MP. The reasons given are that, the President Akufo-Addo’s best agenda for Ghana in his second term, hopefully, needs critical and profound people of high reputed for execution such as honorable Kwabena Owusu Aduomi and delegates in Ejisu should afford to honor this humble request of President Akufo-Addo for the interest of the NPP and not any selfish seeking interest.

President Akufo-Addo a few days ago commemorated the state of the art, the best of its kind in west Africa, Tema Motorway.
