Watch how Victor Osimhen confronted Fenerbahçe players after aggressive tackle

Victor Osimhen delivered a stunning performance on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, scoring twice to lead Galatasaray to a 2-1 victory over Fenerbahçe in the quarterfinals of the Turkish Cup, eliminating José Mourinho’s side from the competition.

The Nigerian forward opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a precise strike from the edge of the box, giving Galatasaray an early advantage.

He then doubled his tally in the 27th minute, confidently converting a penalty to extend his team’s lead to 2-0 before the halftime whistle.

However, tensions flared when Osimhen lost his composure after a rough tackle from Milan Škriniar, sparking a heated reaction. While he was still on the ground, Mert Müldür gestured for him to get up, seemingly implying he was exaggerating the foul, further escalating the situation.

His frustration boiled over as he confronted the Fenerbahçe players, refusing to back down despite his teammates’ attempts to restrain him.

Despite Fenerbahçe’s efforts, including pulling a goal back just before halftime, Galatasaray held firm to secure the win and advance to the semifinals. They are now determined to reclaim the Turkish Cup, a trophy they last won in 2019.
