Air Zimbabwe resumes South African route

FLIGHTS FROM AIR ZIMBABWE TO RESUME
Air Zimbabwe has resumed flights between Harare’s Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport and Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport from today, 29 July.
According to Travel News, the resumption of flights are part of a larger strategy to maintain momentum in the country’s Open Skies Policy and its Open for Business Policy.
Flights along the route will be as follows:
- The Harare flight will depart daily at 11:30 with arrival in Johannesburg at 13:15.
- The Johannesburg will also depart daily at 14:00, arriving in Harare at 15:30.
Harare, the capital city of Zimbabwe, serves as the economic, cultural, and political hub of the country. The city is also the commercial heart of Zimbabwe, with key industries including manufacturing, agriculture, mining, and services.
The resumed flights will do well for tourism to Zimbabwe, with South Africans heading to the country for its renowned natural attractions, including Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park, and Lake Kariba.
ANGOLAN CARRIER UPS FREQUENCY
In other recent news, Angolan carrier, TAAG Angola Airlines recently stated that it would increase its flight frequency from South Africa to Luanda.
Starting 4 September this year, TAAG will introduce three additional flights from Cape Town and two additional flights from Johannesburg each week. This will be in added onto its regular daily flight schedule for the two cities.
The additional flights from Cape Town will take off on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 05:00 with arrival in Luanda at 08:00.
The return flight from Luanda will then depart on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 18:30 with arrival in Cape Town at 23:30
The additional flights from Johannesburg will depart on Mondays and Wednesdays at 04:35, arriving in Luanda at 07:05.
The return flight will then depart on Tuesdays and Sundays at 19:00 with arrival in Johannesburg at 23:30.
