Ahmed, Anas didn’t fall out prior to murder – Close associate

Mr Ernest Addo, a Deputy Editor at the New Crusading Guide newspaper and a close friend of the murdered Tiger Eye PI investigative journalist Ahmed Hussein-Suale, has denied claims that the slain investigator fell out with his boss Anas Aremeyaw Anas and the entire Tiger Eye team prior to his murder.

Mr Addo’s comment comes on the heels of an allegation made by the Member of Parliament for Assin Central on Accra-based Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen political talk show on Thursday, 17 January 2019 that the police must treat Mr Aremeyaw as a prime suspect in the murder case because he fell out with Ahmed prior to the cold-blooded killing of the journalist at Madina, Accra.

Speaking on Accra100.5FM’s The Citizen show on the same day, Mr Addo told host Bobie Ansah that: “Kennedy Agyapong was on air saying Ahmed has fallen out with the Anas team, but I’m telling you on authority that before 9 O’clock on that day, Ahmed was in the office with Anas. So, how do you now come out and say that he had fallen out with Anas. Where did he get that from?

“I’ll never sit somewhere and imagine that Kennedy Agyapong will murder Ahmed but someone might have followed his threat to harm Ahmed. So, let the investigation go on and justice must be seen to be done.”

Mr Agyapong last year revealed the identity of Hussein-Suale on his Television station and urged his staff to beat him up if ever he entered his Ken City property which houses his TV and radio stations.

Hussein-Suale was shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck by unknown assailants while driving home.
