Afua Asantewaa enstooled as Nkosouhemaa of Breman Essiam in Central Region

Ghanaian media personality and former Guinness World Record contender Afua Asantewaa has been enstooled as the Nkosouhemaa (Queen Mother of Development) of Breman Essiam in the Central Region, receiving the title Nana Afua Asantewaa Anomatewaa I.

The enstoolment ceremony, organised by the Traditional Council, took place at the forecourt of the Paramount Chief, Odeefuo Afankwa III’s palace, on July 27, 2024, in the Central Region.

Expressing her gratitude on her Twitter handle on the same day, she wrote, “I am grateful for the honour bestowed on me by the people of Breman Essiam.

“Today marks the beginning of an exciting, progressive, and challenging task that lies before me as the Queen Mother of Development in Breman Essiam. I am now Nana Afua Asantewaa Anomatewaa I (the first).”

In another post, she wrote, “Words failed me, Lord. NANA AFUA ASANTEWAA ANOMATEWAA I, Breman Essiam Nkosouhemaa. God did.”

Her followers have been quick to celebrate her achievement, with many leaving heartfelt comments.
