District Chief Executive Officer for Afigya Kwabre South Hon Christian Adu-Poku has promised to see to the generation of much revenue from the jurisdiction of the assembly to address the long overdue  development of his area.
He premised his statement on the abysmal status-quo of Internally Generated Funds of the assembly which he inherited, adding that the assembly at the moment needs lot of funds to carry out several projects.
According to him, the foregoing has limited the assembly from executing IGF related projects and has as a result slow paced the assembly’s quest in salvaging the district from the litany of challenges.
Afigya Kwabre South District is currently riddled with poor road network, dilapidated bridges, poor school blocks, lack of basic social amenities in remote communities among other.
Speaking during his first mid-year meeting with staff of the assembly, Hon Christian Adu Poku indicated that a little improvement in the mobilization of revenue will fast  track the addressing of the abovementioned developmental crisis.
The assembly he continued cannot always fall on government’s common fund but can in their small way generate funds from within as an alternative means to support the district.
The District Chief Executive Officer during the meeting touched on staff motivation as one of his areas of focus, detailing that workers of the assembly will be highly resourced and empowered for an effective job delivery and that all deficiencies affecting their performance at the assembly will be corrected under his watch.
The assembly under his leadership will consider instituting an award scheme for hard working staff as a way of acknowledgement and motivation for services rendered for the growth of the district.
