Aegis Home Healthcare supports Walkers Club with books and boots

As part of it’s Corporate, Social – Responsibility (CSR) mandate, AEGIS Home Healthcare; which is an emerging home Healthcare management and service provider, has thrown it’s fiull weight behind community health, welfare and awareness through recreation and sports.

This was in full display over the Easter festivities as Aegis Home Healthcare executives and field officers stormed the Eastern region town of Akuapem Apirede.

The Aegis team, joined scores of residents, volunteers and visitors to support the 2019 Books & Boots Walkers Club Community mini festival in honour of Nana Saforo Okuampah III.

The Chief of Apirede who is a well known Health and Fitness advocate, has over the years led a campaign that encourages healthy living through regular communal exercise, healthy diet and general good lifestyle.

To mark 25 years of his ascension to the throne, the people of Apirede, through the initiative of Nana Saforo Okuampah III, have adopted the education and recreation project, Books & Boots as a model for the youth to aspire through soccer and education.

Coupled with this, regular health walks through the Apirede township and satellite communities have become a regular feature that has attracted residents, local and foreign visitors alike.

This Easter, in partnership with Walkers Club Ghana and Aegis Home Healthcare, hundreds of town folk embarked upon a 6 kilometers health walk followed by aerobics and a Colts Soccer gala organised by the Books & Boots Foundation.

The Marketing manager for Aegis Home Healthcare Mr Kofi Asante was delighted with the turnout and confirmed future participation in such initiatives across communities in Ghana.

“As you know, Aegis Home Healthcare is all about springing protection and companionship and when it comes to caring for the aged, children and elderly with chronic disabilities who can’t take care of themselves if left alone, we say “Your Health Our Priority”.
