Adutwum Will Create More Jobs – David Prah Assures

NPP’s David Prah Cites Adutwum’s qualities, U.S. Experience, Educational Reforms, and Global Recognition as Tools to Boost Ghana’s Economic Development.

Former Eastern Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. David Prah, has made a compelling case for Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum to lead the NPP and Ghana into a new era of economic transformation, job creation, and industrial growth.

In an exclusive interview, Mr. Prah stated that Dr. Adutwum possesses a rare blend of academic brilliance, international leadership, and practical public service—all of which he believes will translate into real jobs and a stronger economy if he is given the mandate to lead the country.

“If Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum becomes our next leader, Ghana’s GDP can rise to 10 percent or even more,” Mr. Prah declared. “He has the vision, the global exposure, and the track record to create jobs and drive our socio-economic development.”

A Global Perspective, Rooted in Local Commitment

Mr. Prah described Dr. Adutwum as a transformational figure whose unique path—from founding a thriving educational group in the United States to becoming one of Ghana’s most effective ministers—makes him the ideal leader for the future.

“He was the CEO and Founder of New Designs Educational Group in California, where he empowered thousands of students, mostly from minority communities, and employed hundreds of staff,” Prah said. “That’s leadership in action, not just in theory.”

Dr. Adutwum holds a PhD in Educational Policy and Administration from the University of Southern California, a Master’s in Educational Management from the University of La Verne, and a Teaching Diploma from Chapman University, all in the United States. Mr. Prah believes this academic and professional pedigree gives him a deep understanding of what it takes to align education with job creation.

“He Has Already Done It in Ghana”

Beyond his international experience, Mr. Prah emphasized that Dr. Adutwum has already demonstrated his ability to deliver on education-led development during his time as Ghana’s Minister for Education under former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

“He transformed our education sector with practical innovations,” he said. “He built STEM senior high schools equipped with robotics labs, engineering workshops, and coding centres. This was not talk—these schools are real and functioning today.”

Dr. Adutwum also personally funded 150 students from his Bosomtwe Constituency to pursue medicine and engineering at top Ghanaian universities—a gesture Mr. Prah described as “unprecedented in Ghana’s political history.

“That alone shows his heart for youth development. He didn’t wait for government; he used his own resources to change lives. That’s leadership.”

Education That Drives Jobs and GDP

According to Mr. Prah, Dr. Adutwum’s policies have shown that education can be a direct engine of economic growth, not just academic achievement.

“His reforms focused on skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship. When you train a young person to code, to build, or to invent, you’re not just educating—you’re creating a job,” he explained.

He stressed that under Dr. Adutwum’s national vision, education would no longer end in certificates, but in careers, businesses, and industries that feed into the national economy.

“This is how Ghana’s GDP can rise—by unleashing the productive potential of our youth through targeted education policies. Dr. Adutwum understands this better than anyone in our political space.”

Recognized Globally, Yet Deeply Ghanaian

Mr. Prah also highlighted Dr. Adutwum’s international standing as evidence of his global relevance and credibility. He currently serves as Chairman of the Ghana Commission for UNESCO and is a member of the UN’s High-Level Advisory Group for Mission 4.7—a global effort to implement the Sustainable Development Goals on education.

“We have a man who sits on the world stage with leaders from UNESCO, the UN, and global universities—yet he remains grounded in Jachie, his hometown, serving his people. This kind of balance is rare,” Mr. Prah stated.

He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Capacity Building Centre at UCLA and the Patron of the Africa Curriculum Association, honors Mr. Prah says confirm that “Adutwum is respected everywhere knowledge is valued.”

Call to Action: “Let’s Not Miss This Opportunity”

With Ghana facing youth unemployment, low industrial output, and economic stagnation, Mr. Prah urged NPP delegates and Ghanaians to rally behind a leader who has shown the capacity to solve these challenges.

“This is not the time to gamble with empty promises or recycled slogans. We need a visionary leader who delivers. Dr. Adutwum is tested, trusted, and transformational.”

He concluded by calling on NPP delegates to rise above party politics and vote for the candidate who offers the best chance of winning not just the party base, but the hearts of millions of Ghanaians and floating voters.

“He is not just another politician—he is a builder of systems, of futures, of nations. And if we support him, Ghana will rise to its true potential.”

As the NPP prepares to choose its next leader, David Prah’s impassioned endorsement of Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum adds powerful momentum to what many believe is a growing movement for visionary, development-led politics in Ghana.
