Achalume hit maker dies at 25

Walycris Wanyengo, real name Wyson Laifon, a fast rising musician, has died.

The 25-year-old died early this morning in a road accident in Zimbabwe while returning from South Africa, where he was performing.

According to reports, Walycris Wanyengo, best known for his hit Achalume, was in a matours bus when it was hit by a trailer and died on the spot.

Walycris’ Yao flavor dominated Malawi’s music industry.

His death occurred just as he was beginning to reap the benefits of his labor.

Tributes to the late musician are now pouring in.
