Some parts of the Greater Accra Region, Tema and the Volta Region will experience power outages today, Thursday, March 28, 2019.
This is due to a planned maintenance work aimed at improving service delivery to the affected areas.
The announcement was made by the power distribution company, PDS, who say the power outage will last between 8 am and 5 pm.
In the Volta Region, it said areas expected to be affected include, Aflao, Denu, Tokor, Gakle towns, Agbozume, Anlo Afiadebyigba, Adina and surrounding areas.
In the Greater Accra Region, areas that will be affected by the maintenance work include Pantang Hospital area, Nyamekrom, Abokobi, Ashaley Botwe, Japan Motors, Katamanso, NADMO Office – Kanda, Comet Estates, Otanor and nearby communities.
In the Tema area, power supply will be cut to Communities 13, 14, 16,17, 18, 19 and 20, Nungua, Klagon, Sukomono, Abattoir, Dutch Hotel and Buena Vista Homes within the announced period.
PDS has been conducting a similar exercise in other parts of the country.
On Wednesday, Madina Social Welfare, Madina market, Madina taxi rank, Adjirigano, American House, Teiman, Haatso, Agbogba and HTNC Estates were cut off denied power for the scheduled maintenance work.
This comes on the back of recent outages recorded in parts of the country.
