VIDEO: Ghanaian, 31, killed in Canada

A 31-year-old Ghanaian has been murdered by unknown assailants in Toronto, Canada.

Ms Jenas Nyarko was shot in the chest around 1am Sunday, June 24, 2018 on the drive way of her apartment residence at Replin and Old Meadow Lane in Toronto.

CCTV footages released by the police revealed unknown assailants pulling up in a Cadillac SUV while Ms Nyarko and others were in their vehicle during the wee hours of Sunday.

She was gunned down unprovoked and died subsequently at the hospital, the police confirmed.

“At the time of the attack, the deceased was in the company of 3 others who had just returned from a funeral and was about to get out of her car,” a statement from the Ghana High Commission in Ottawa said.

“The High Commissioner is shocked and outraged at the unprovoked attack.

“The High Commission of Ghana, hereby, calls on the Canadian authorities to do all within their power to arrest the unprovoked assailants and bring them to justice,” the statement added.
