A/R Atonsu: Decomposing body of 52-year-old JUSTICE found in a barrel in his room

The body of fifty-two (52) year-old man Justice Asuo Gyebi, who is believed to have died a week ago, was found in a decomposing state in a barrel in his room at Atonsu Bokro in the Asokwa Constituency of the Ashanti Region, MyNewsGh.com can report

The deceased was found dead after neighbours notice his absence in the area since last week.

According to the residents, they started experiencing a pungent smell in the area since on Tuesday and suspected the occupant of the room may have died unknown to them.

A neighbour Justice K. Gyebi narrating the unfortunate incident to MyNewsGh.com said the deceased has not been well for some time and is always fond of locking himself in the room.

According to him, though the deceased was not well but the cause of his sudden death yet to known.

He said the police after obtaining the necessary information broke into the room and found the body of the deceased decomposing.

The body was conveyed by the Asokwa District Police Command to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for preservation

A police officer who confirmed the sad news said, they believe the deceased passed away three days ago.

Meanwhile, the Asokwa Police has commenced investigation into the incident.
